Home Visits

Home Visits

We recognise that coming into a clinic is not always possible for families. Post hospital admissions,
joint sessions with other allied health therapists, and transport issues can sometimes make therapy
delivered in the home easier. At times, seeing how children function in their own environment is
best

Community Visits

Preschool, school and park visits are important in ensuring inclusivity and participation. It provides
an opportunity to educate carers and teachers and optimise opportunities for participation in every
aspect of a child’s life

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy

Supported by the Australian Physiotherapy Association, aquatic physiotherapy (old term:
hydrotherapy) is an evidence-based intervention used as an adjunct to land-based therapy. It uses water resistance and buoyancy to supplement land based strength, motor planning, coordination
and balance activities. Aquatic physiotherapy enhances water confidence and provides children with the opportunity to develop water safety skills. Just for Kids Physiotherapy provides one-on-one treatment blocks throughout the year

Telehealth

Now a way of life for most of us, telehealth continues to be offered to children and families where
they are unable to access the clinic. These sessions require a very hands on approach by parents and
carers.

Bike Riding

Bike Riding

Learning to ride a bike can be hard! For some children, breaking down each element to part practice
before bringing it all together is all it takes. For others, an adaptive or modified bike will help them
to achieve their goal. We work closely with Freedom Wheels and TAD to support access to Assistive
Technology
